Therapist and Healer Dot Whitehouse has worked in the field of sexuality education and counselling since 1987, and in the field of energy healing since 1997. She is renowned for her unique ability to combine a broad training in traditional and complementary modalities to help clients attain and maintain wellness. Dot works with clients locally (Toronto, Canada) and internationally (in person, by telephone, and at a distance), teaching them skills that they use not only to achieve their immediate therapeutic goals, but techniques clients can also apply to many other areas of their personal and professional lives. She has been a SAR facilitator and presenter at Canada's largest sexuality conference, the annual Guelph Sexuality Conference and Training Institute, and a keynote speaker on Sexuality and Spirituality. Dot has developed and presented workshops for both professionals and the public. A frequent media guest and commentator, Dot can currently be seen on CanWest Global's national television program, Body and Health.
• Counselling and Healing: I am privileged to work with clients both locally (Toronto, Canada) and internationally. Counselling appointments can take place either in person or by telephone. Healing work may be done in person or at a distance. The duration of sessions varies from 1 ½ - 3 hours depending on both the issues being addressed at any given session and the modalities being used. The session length is determined at the time of booking. I am very frank with and respectful of my clients and encourage them to be equally direct with me. It is my goal to help you define the outcomes you want for yourself, and to get you there as quickly and safely as possible.
• Medical Intuition: There are many reasons my clients seek to consult a medical intuitive. Some are just curious, while others wish to more fully comprehend concerns that have eluded traditional approaches. I view medical intuition as a helpful adjunct to provide information to the client that s/he may choose to take to the members of her/his healing team. The method in which I am trained is Medical Intuition: Lori Wilson's Total Body Intuition ™. It is not a healing modality; however, in my other capacities, I may be a member of a client's healing team. Once I have received a signed consent form from the client, we book a mutually convenient time for the client to call me and receive the report of the scan. The reporting process takes about 1 hour.
The scan itself is done at a distance. In other words, the client is not physically in my presence while I do the scan. In fact, I really don't want to know anything about the client or the client's concerns so that I am not biased during the scan. The process I use is similar to the light bar of a photocopy machine as it goes down the page. It is my role to simply attend respectfully and report - without censoring or interpreting - whatever the body chooses to share with me at the time of the scan. It is crucial to identify and track the source of the information, and although it may not make any sense to me, the information may be quite pertinent to and in context for the client.
The first part of the scan, the "Broadcast", is when the body randomly offers information. The second and third parts are methodical, the second being a "Head to Toe" scan, and the third a review of "Organs and Systems" to ensure that nothing that the body wanted to share at the time of the scan is omitted. Most often, clients are amazed at the wealth of detailed information a scan provides.
• Channelling: One definition of channelling is the ability to connect with Spirit Guides in order to retrieve information from other realms. While psychics retrieve the information from a person's energy field or aura, and mediums from individuals who are no longer embodied on this earth plane, channellers may gather information from all these other sources as well. I feel it is crucial to identify and track the source of the information, as that in itself may be very significant to my client. I work with clients both locally and internationally, and offer appointments either in person or by phone. Appointments are 1 hour in length.
