Therapist and Healer Dot Whitehouse has worked in the field of sexuality education and counselling since 1987, and in the field of energy healing since 1997. She has been a SAR facilitator and presenter at Canada's largest sexuality conference, the annual Guelph Sexuality Conference and Training Institute, and a keynote speaker on Sexuality and Spirituality. Dot has developed and presented workshops for both professionals and the public. She works with clients locally (Toronto, Canada) and internationally (in person, by telephone, and at a distance) to help them create joyous, passionate life adventures.

Dot’s personal experience:
In 2006, a dear friend and respected colleague of mine trained in Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection with Dr. Eric Pearl and Doug De Vito, BS Che, MBA. I booked my Reconnection appointment with Doug, went to the two sessions, and had great experiences on the table, but no earth-shattering moments.

A short time after having had The Reconnection, I headed to a trainers’ retreat for another group that was being held outside Toronto. While unloading my car that night, I tripped in the dark and fell. I landed awkwardly on my right thumb and the fleshy part of the hand below that. Prone to easily bruise and swell, I continued with the evening’s schedule, all the while noticing that I had more and more pain, swelling and bruising, and less and less mobility in that thumb. I worried about the weekend’s full schedule as I am right-handed.

My roommate that night was the very friend and colleague who was now a practitioner of both Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection; however, she was still catching up with the rest of the group when I tucked in for the night. Loathe to disrupt my friend’s fun, and not remembering the distinction between Reconnective Healing and The Reconnection, I just asked that whoever or whatever was in charge of “that stuff” do their thing and fell asleep. The next morning, there was absolutely no physical evidence that I had ever had an injury to my right thumb – no bruising, no swelling, and complete range of motion and strength.

It took a while to get here. I completed my training in Reconnective Healing levels I /II and The Reconnection level III in 2009, and continue to practice the work daily.
